Grischa Steffin
Ashtanga Yoga In-Class-Training (ICT) Program
Practical "on the job" training for participants of the Teacher Intensive Program
About the "In-Class-Training" Program

No teachers training in
the world can ultimately prepare you for "the real thing".
Starting to teach Ashtanga Yoga especially in a Mysore Style setting is a big step if you understand the
responsibility of teaching Yoga properly.
This program helps beginning teachers to learn teaching in a real class situation.
We believe that the opportunity of learning to teach Ashtanga under the supervision of an experienced teacher is
invaluable.
Last but not least it also has become one of the prerequisites for teaching at our studio.
How this training works
Participants of this program assist at one or two of Grischa's weekly Mysore classes for
either 3 or 6 months.
All Participants start by observing assists and teachings in a "real-world" situation for a few classes before starting hands on.
Step by step you will start introduce beginners to the Sun Salutations etc.
You will then start to practice safe and "easy" assists with the students under supervision.
With more practice you will be helping students more independently and be introduced to more difficult "adjustments" of the students' alignment.
Many adjustments work well for one teacher and don't work for another one. We will help you finding your individual style of teaching.
Last but not least you can always ask questions and special sitations can be discussed after class.
Application for this program
You must have completed our Teacher Intensive Week at least once to join
this training.
We have a very limited number of places so we can't guarantee admission to the program.
